It doesn\u2019t matter whether you collect the figurines as a financial investment or because they make you happy, you want to take care of them, maintain the quality of your memorabilia, and display them proudly<\/a>. These six tips for displaying and protecting FUNKO POP!™ figurines will show you how!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Keep out of direct sunlight\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Displaying your FUNKO POP!™ in direct sunlight will cause damage to the figurine. Over time, the UV rays in sunlight will cause the plastic to become brittle and crack<\/a> and the colors to fade. (Sunlight can also damage the packaging so keeping the \u201cPop\u201d in the package isn\u2019t enough.) If sunlight does hit the area where you chose for your Funko Pop displays, place it behind some acrylic glass, such as in a floor standing display cases<\/a> or in wall-mounted display cases<\/a> to reflect the harmful UV rays and still be able to appreciate the collection.<\/p>\n

Display in a dry, temperature-controlled space<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Take a tip from museum collections and place your FUNKO POP!™ displays in a temperature-controlled space<\/a>. By temperature-controlled, we mean not in an attic or unfinished basement. Any room in your home that maintains a steady, comfortable temperature (about 55 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit) will do. Temperature extremes (both heat and cold) can damage your collection. An ideal temperature is a steady one as changes in temperature and humidity can result in damage. If your space is humid, it\u2019s wise to invest in a dehumidifier to reduce any moisture in the air.<\/p>\n

Select the right display product<\/strong><\/h4>\n

While you may already know to handle a figurine only with clean hands<\/a>, the natural oils and greases on skin can cause discoloration to collectables over time.<\/p>\n

Dust Regularly <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Use a makeup brush to remove dust from your FUNKO POP!™ on a regular basis. Try dusting on a monthly basis or another date or regularly timed interval that you will remember. And don\u2019t forget to dust the shelves that they are displayed on or in. If dust has accumulated in the crevices of a figure, canned, or pressurized, air can help dislodge dust without damaging Funko Pop! Displays as well.<\/p>\n

Wash with care <\/strong><\/h4>\n

If you need to wash your FUNKO POP!™ displays, do so carefully and dry completely before placing back in its storage display. Use warm water and a mild dish soap since chemical cleaners can discolor and damage your figurines. You can also use a slightly dampened melamine foam sponge, according to the manufacturer.<\/p>\n
